Shocking but we're nothing we're just moments
We're clever but we're clueless we're just human
Amusing but confusing but the truth is
All we got is questions we'll never know
Never know, never know
I think that's there's truth to be found in Jack Johnson's Never Know lyrics. I mean, we are only human and we don't know where our actions will lead us until we end up wherever we're supposed to go. Like my parents, Samuel didn't know that he would meet Lillian in high school as a freshman, nor did he know that she would be the girl he would marry five years later. It wasn't like she was his first girlfriend or anything but there are just things that you never expect to happen. I'm glad that they met and married or else I wouldn't be here right now. I mean, I could be but not as Samuel Cougar Wilder. I could be someone like...Jonathon Matthew Everest or something. See? You just never know. My parents didn't know that their first born child was going to be a boy until the delivery room when I came into the world on January 11th.
I don't think they ever expected to have such a big family, but they did. Two brothers (Jamie & Alec) after me and a little sister (Bailey) too. However, I don't really talk to them much because they seem so much younger. And ever since I came to NYU, I haven't really looked back. I've got friends here, especially my best friend Steele Wilson. I never expected to make a friend like him but I did. He's a great guy and just as clueless about life as I am, probably even a little bit more. It's amusing, you know, people watching. When you look at someone and wonder how their life is and then you try to guess, nothing ever seems to truly fit because you don't know that person.
And, even if you know something about someone, you still have questions about them. Whether it be general or personal, I even question myself sometimes. What do I like to eat? What do I want to watch? What sexuality am I?Questions help us grow as people and, if that's true, I will keep asking questions until the day that I leave this earth, no matter how much it annoys my mom when I call her.
Some things that I like,
Playing Guitar, Eating, Reading, Red lights, Sunsets, Women, Music, Comics, Movies, Doritos, Dr. Pepper, Cream Soda, Twizzlers, Kisses, Turkey, Ham, Bacon, and the list goes on and on. Why do I like these things? What caused me to like them? See, these are things that I'll never know but everyday I accept them. Just as I accept the things I hate such as asparagus, clingy girlfriends, hypochondriacs, child abusers, sickly animals, nail biters, whiny people, politicians, obama, stuff like that.
Do you think that you know me that I've written some things down for you? That i've explained some of my thoughts to expose the inner workings of my brain? Boy, you are sadly mistaken, trust me. You haven't even scratched the surface.
